How to Make Spicy Mixed Noodles

Boil the egg in a pot for 8 minutes for a semi-boiled consistency . Thinly slice the cucumber into matchsticks . Finely chop the fermented kimchi into small pieces . Mince one garlic clove . Crush the toasted sesame seeds using a mortar and pestle .

2. Creating the Sauce

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped kimchi, minced garlic, gochujang, sugar, sesame oil, and about 1/4 cup of kimchi brine . Mix all the ingredients well until combined .

3. Cooking the Noodles

Bring a pot of water to a boil, add the somyeon noodles, and cook for 3 minutes and 30 seconds . Stir occasionally to prevent sticking .

Drain the cooked noodles and rinse them thoroughly under cold running water to remove excess starch . Add the noodles to the prepared sauce and mix well using your hands . Plate the noodles and top with sliced cucumbers, a halved boiled egg, and crushed sesame seeds .
